And every time the FDA comes out with new rules or regulations, the personal experience and individuality of the patient gets lost. One size does not fit all. Your metrics, need to CYA and ideology do not make for better outcomes. Listening to your patients and seeing they're history while allowing said patients a say in their plan of care, that's what matters.

This is the first time I've wrote a review relating to a hospital or doctor visit, but it seems most are right about the staff (or at least the doctor I saw). I literally felt like he was always turning any issue I had around and saying it was natural or my fault, half or more were from work related issues. I felt like I was forced to treat it as a hostile interview almost and nothing I said or did was what I should be doing, even if it was what he said should, I would always be one upped. I still get annoyed about it. I also was not given any guidance on follow up referrals or even information since he was trying to push me to other providers

My first an only visit 6 years ago was met with a lazy check in clerk, bitchy nurse, but awesome doc. I was told to drop off some documents and they would fax to the Pensacola VA. The fax was broke, the fax guy was at the desk, feet propped up, and reading; he ignored me. Now, I'm told to see a VA doc about PTSD so I call Eglin VA and try to make an appointment, and keep being told I don't have an appointment. So I call a different number and told I'm #1, then #9, then #4 five different times, then the line goes dead! A person eventually answered the telephone and I made an appointment, which was only a few days away. The tech and provider were awesome.

The Eglin VA Clinic telephone system will drive a vet to consider suicide as a preferable option. How do you go from being next in the telephone queue to 10th in the queue then to 9th in the queue and then back to 10th in the queue. Is this the new method of keeping the medical statistics inflated by frustrating a vet to the edge of insanity so they will hang up and give up on seeking the medical care earned after decades of service?

I have lost almost all hope that the VA will ever be a decent system. So many people from within maintain such an apathetic disposition. It's as if a mere phone call is an inconvenience to them.

If you have anything that requires a doctor's signature forget. Excuses. Excuses. Excuses.
