Worst car rental experience. Made a one way reservation with AVIS because they had the lowest advertised price compared to everyone else. As soon as I made the reservation online I got my confirmation email with the break down of my bill and it let me know it would be an extra $0.30/mile. Suddenly not the cheapest rental at all. Called customer service and I had the option to pay the per mile mileage fee, $400+ for unlimited miles on same car, or pay the $50 cancellation fee. I called less then 10 minutes after I made the reservations. I opted to cancel. They would not budge on anything and didn't seem to care. I will gladly share my very negative experience with anyone willing to listen and will never use AVIS. Enterprise was a much better option for only a few dollars more on the advertised price and that's that I was charged.

I am utterly disappointed with the lack of customer service that I receive at this location. Today, I arrive, the pull the wrong reservation. I correct them...simple mistake. Then the process to tell me that I don't have a reservation w them and act like it's my fault. I give them my reservation number and mybcredit card....oh, there you are. I get blamed for making the reservation the day before...thats why they didn't have me pulled.
Advertised and what was billed to me $136.56 includes unlimited miles and went for the slightly nicer Cadillac over AVIS's Fiesta
I travel weekly and have only been renting from Avis. I get great service everywhere else but my home town. Sad.
I get my keys, go to my Avis slot and oh no...its a budget slot. I don't have time to walk all over this parking lot. But I find it.
After being assured there were no other options for us except to book with her at the airport (I found out later the other rental locations had cars in stock) we were assigned a Veloster that almost caused an accident because it wouldn't accelerate when we pushed on the gas (aka a really awful vehicle with some sort of service light on)
My car has no Bluetooth capabilities....really, if these are all new cars, why no Bluetooth phone capability. I call...they say oh...we have one for you that does. I didn't know I now habe to request that too. So I ask if they could meet me half way to exchange the keys...she said no. There are two people behind the counter and no plane was coming in. So I waited for the car workers to leave their work, go get the key, and bring it to me. They werent friendly either, but I didn't expect that...they were Interrupted from their job.
After receiving my confirmation email, an extra $0.30/mile about $174 extra.

Just do yourself a favor and book with Hertz. They were at least honest. I'm disgusted with the experience I had.
I called customer service and they explained to me that it would've been cheaper to book on the spot online and the extra charges (around $347) are non refundable because it was vended through the airport. Literally take an uber any where else to rent a car and it would've been better in every way.

I had to prove I had a reservation...like I really didn't have one. Got an underpar car. No preferred upgrade...even though the parking lot is FULL of cars I could have been upgraded to. And then to wait on a damn key. Thank Goodness it wasn't raining.
This Avis is the worst one that I have been to, I have always used Avis in the past but after this experience I will no longer use this company. They misrepresent information and then charge you for services that you specifically declined when making online reservations. Strongly recommend any other company than this or Budget since they are run by same customer service reps at this Airport.
I'm just disappointment in the lack of caring attitude, friendly customer service.
Literally every and any other option would have been better than avis in this situation; I never write reviews but my experience renting a vehicle from this kiosk in the airport was miserable. Our representative was Catalana who informed us that the vehicle we found online through kayak while standing in front of her at the desk was not, in fact available, despite the app saying we could pick it up either at the airport or 15 minutes away. She so convinced us, that we felt we had no other option than to book a car with her there - using verbiage like, "those locations receive cars from us, they don't know what we have in inventory" etc. Making it seem like they were the only location to get vehicles from.
